कच्चे पपीते की सब्जी - Raw Papaya Recipe















Ingredients :

Raw Papaya -1 (small or medium size)

Chopped Onion -1

Chopped Garlic -4-5 cloves

Chopped Tomato -1 (or Mango Powder)

Mustard Seeds -1/2 table spoons 

Jeera Seeds - 1/2 table spoons 

Methi Seeds -1/2 table spoons 

Salt as per taste ,

Turmeric powder -1/2 table spoons

 Red chili powder -1/2 table spoons

Coriander powder -1/2 table spoons

Chhattisgarh Recipes Raw Papaya (Kacche papite ki sabji)

1. Take raw papaya and wash it .Peel the upper green layer of it .

2. Cut it from the middle.Inside may contain lots of white seeds on the white thick pad.

3. Remove the seeds and clean it from inside .And cut the raw Papaya in small pieces.

4. The other ingredients required for the Raw Papaya recipe are 1 long chopped onion,chopped garlic cloves as well as 1 chopped tomato or use dry mango powder.

5. For tempering (Tadka) take mustard seeds, Jeera seeds,Methi seeds,Curry leaves,Red chilies.

6. Take a pan and heat 3-4 table spoons of edible oil .

7.Once oil is hot add mustard seeds, Jeera seeds and Methi seeds.  curry leaves,red chilies.Now add garlic pieces and chopped onion.

8. Once Onion turns little brown add raw Papaya pieces in it add mix well .Cover the lid and cook further for 5 minutes in slow to medium flame.

9. Open the lid and check whether papaya become cooked and little soft .

10 Add Salt as per taste ,1/2 table spoons of  turmeric powder, 1/2 table spoons red chili powder,1/2 table spoons coriander powder and blend all ingredients nicely .Cover once again and cook it for 2-4 minutes.

11. If you find papaya pieces becomes sticky on the base of the pan ,then add very little water in it to prevent from the sticking.

12. Open the lid ,nice aroma starts coming.It is the time to add tomato pieces or mango powder in it .Cook for little more time.

Papaya is super healthy ,gluten free and a vegan dish to eat .

13.Press the Papaya pieces to check the softness. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.Raw papaya recipe is ready to serve .

Note : This Chhattisgarh Recipe of Unripe Papaya is very nutritious and healthy. It is very good for digestive health,eyes and skin. Traditionally this raw papaya recipe is given to lactating mothers. Raw papaya is very good antioxidant and full of good enzymes. 

कच्चे पपीते की सब्जी बनाने के लिए एक मध्यम  या छोटे आकर का पपीता लें।  उसे धो कर छील लें।  पपीते को जब काटेंगे तब सफ़ेद बीज निकालेंगे , इन बीजों को बाहर निकाल कर सफ़ेद सतह को काट कर बहार निकाल ले।  अब पपीते को छोटे टुकड़ों में काट ले। 

एक कड़ाई में तेल गरम करेंऔर तड़के के  लिए जीरा, सरसों और मेथी के डालें। कटे लहसून के टुकड़े, लाल मिर्च ,मीठा नीम पत्ता डालें। अब प्याज़ के टुकड़ों को डालें और सुनहरा होने तक भुने। इसके बाद इसमें पपीते के टुकड़ों को डालें और अच्छी तरह मिला लें और ढंक कर पकने के लिए ५ मिनट छोड़ें। 

अब ढक्कन खोले पपीता थोड़ा पका हुआ होगा तब नमक स्वादानुसार , मिर्च पाउडर ,हल्दी पाउडर, धनिया पाउडर डाल कर अच्छे से मिलकर फिर २ मिनट मध्यम आंच पर ढांक कर पकाएं। अब पपीते के साथ टमाटर के कटे टुकड़े या अमचूर डाल कर पकाएं।  

अब गैस बंद करें और कच्चे पपीते  की सब्जी तैयार है।
