Bohar bhaaji/ बुहार भाजी

Bohar bhaji -1 Kg
Gram pulses (Chana Dal)-Handful
Red chili powder,
Turmeric powder,
Buttermilk ,
Garlic cloves -8-10
Tomatoes -2 pieces
Full Red Chilies -3-4 pieces

Chhattisgarh Recipes Bohar Bhaji Preparation Method

Pluck the Bohar leaves and buds from the branches  and wash it many time .

In a pan take small quantity of water and boil  Gram pulses for 1-2 min.

Now add bohar bhaji (seeds n leaves) with Chana dal (gram lentils) and spread chili powder ,coriander powder, turmeric powder ,Salt on it .Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes in slow flame. 

Once the leaves and buds are little soft add 2 cut tomatoes and little curd or Butter milk .

Once the whole mixture gets dry and soft, switch off the flame. 

Take 1-2 table spoon of oil in another pan and fry lots of (8-9 ) garlic cloves and 3-4 red chilies. 
Now add whole prepared mixture of Bohar Bhaji.

Cook it for few minutes and turn off the burner and enjoy the whole recipe with steamed rice.

Note: Bohar bhaaji is seasonal vegetable which comes for 1-2 months only .Its a traditional Chhattisgarhi recipe and during those months Chhattisgarhi families eat with lots of interest.

पहले बुहार भाजी को अच्छे  से धो लें। कडाई में थोडा पानी लेकर मुट्ठी भर  चने की दाल उबाल लें। १-२ उबाल आने पर भाजी को डालें और मिर्च , धनिया ,हल्दी पाउडर ,नमक और थोडा छाछ मिलाएं और ढक कर पकाने देंवें। थोड़े देर बाद जब भाजी मुलायम हो जाए और पक जाए तब गैस बंद कर दें। अब एक दुसरे कडाई में तेल गरम करे और ८-१० लहसून की कलियों के साथ भाजी को तड़का दें। 
गरम भाजी का स्वाद गरमा गरम चावल के साथ लें। 
यह भाजी केवल कुछ महीने ही मिलती है इसलिए इसका विशेष महत्व है और छत्तीसगढ़ी परिवारों में बहुत चाव से खाया जाता है.
