Angakar ( Thick rice cake) & Paan Roti



Angakar Roti/Pan Roti-Chhattisgarh's traditional recipe

Ingredients:


Rice Flour
salt,
boiled rice (not necessarily),
oil


Angakar Recipe:


Take rice flour, a small portion of steamed rice and salt as per taste in a bowl.

 Now add little lukewarm water and knead them well with help of little lukewarm water. The Dough gets ready.

Switch on the gas and heat the pan.

Once the pan is properly hot then sprinkle oil on it.

Make big balls out of the dough and by using your palm make thick chapati out of it.

Transfer that thick chapati on the pan.

Roast the roti from both the side, when you change the sides sprinkle little more oil on the other side too.
 Once the Angakar roti is roasted serve it with any cooked vegetable or red chili chutney.

Note : (with flour you can add finely chopped onion, green chili n fresh chopped coriander leaves)

चावल के आटे को पानी और नमक डाल  कर अच्छे से गूँथ लें . गैस चालू कर तवे को खूब अच्छे तरह से गरम कर लें .अब हाथ में थोडा पानी लगाकर आटे की बड़ी लूइयाँ को रोटी का आकर दे फिर तवे में तेल फैलाकर रोटी को उसपर डाल दें और दोनों तरफ अच्छी तरह से सेंक लें .और किसी भी सब्जी या चटनी के साथ परोस सकते हैं.
इच्छा अनुसार आटे  में बारीक कटा हुआ प्याज़ , हरी मिर्च और धनिया की पत्तियां डाल सकते हैं।

Paan Roti:

Above given preparation can be converted into paan roti by the use of the banana leaf. Spread oil on a banana leaf and put thick roti on it, cover it properly and roast it on tava .It will be tasty preparation of Paan roti
केले की पत्ती लेकर उसपर तेल  फैलाएं,बड़ी आटे की लोई   को रोटी का आकर देकर पत्ती  पर डाले और ठीक से बंद कर दें और गरम तवे पर सिकने दें. १५ मिनट  में रोटी का स्वाद लें.
